Quantum Sponsors Upcoming Tennis Tournament
Quantum PT Centers continue to be the lead sponsor for the annual Reg Nash Memorial-London Open Tennis Tournament held in July every year. Players from the US and Canada compete for the prestigious “Quantum Cup” and valuable circuit points. This tournament is dedicated as a memorial event to a longtime tennis mentor and club league coordinator from the London, Ontario region who recently passed away from complications of Parkinson’s disease. We are currently in negotiations with the regional tennis association to create an entire “Quantum circuit” consisting of a series of tournaments that will attract both Canadian and US players in international competition. We plan on expanding our corporate involvement to the southeastern Michigan region this year with a similar set of events with the goal of fostering adult tennis participation and competition between southeastern Michigan and southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Continuing Support for Nepali Orphanages
Quantum Physical Therapy Centers have been a proud sponsor of Nepali orphanages for the last few years, and plan to continue in the future. This mission is very close to our hearts since we (Tiziano and Tina Marovino) have recently adopted a baby boy from Kathmandu, Nepal and a baby girl from Beijing, China. We are working with our orphanage at this time to help construct their own website so they can begin to have some visibility in the international community with possible opportunities for charitable donations. These orphanages are needing basic supplies such as bedding, mattresses, mosquito nets, blankets, clothing etc. We will keep you updated regarding the website.
Our therapists….
Sarah just recently completed a course on Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) given at the University of Michigan. Our world class track and field athletes have been travelling to Canadian practitioners specifically to have AIS sessions performed. Well, we now have this very popular form of treatment in house and have added another therapy mode to our arsenal of treatment.
Our Kinesiologist Lauren has just completed training on redcord neuromuscular re-education (neurac) which is a relatively new form of Norwegian core stabilization therapy. QPT was one of the first treatment centers in the USA to feature and have this therapy available for patients and we continue to learn and improve our methods with continuing education.
Megan and Brad at the Pittsfield center have recently taken a course on ATM-2 stabilization specifically for golfers. The ATM2 is a novel treatment method and recently featured in Golf Magazine May 2008 as a premiere system for strengthening and stabilizing the pelvic core with the end result being no pain and better golf strokes!
Our staff has also recently completed a functional exercise course, manual therapy course and DUI workshop. Our professional staff have all completed courses in exercise, manual techniques, compliance training and diagnostic ultra-sonography in 2011—more to come in 2012
