Injuries/Conditions treated Our scope of coverage includes all forms of injuries and physical conditions ranging from post-operative therapy to work-related injuries. .
At QPT we understand that many of you will be coming to us with a problem(s) that restricts your ability to move efficiently thereby limiting your regular daily activities. We are the movement experts at QPT and are committed to engineering a specific solution to your specific problems. Whether it is pain, weakness, swelling, nerve injury, amputation, disease, age related morbidity, surgery or trauma of any kind, we can help restore your function so you can continue to lead a productive and fulfilling life. Therapeutic exercise in some form will play a crucial role in your recovery. We know that human movement is essential for not only musculo-skeletal integrity, but also for all other body systems including the cardiovascular and immune systems. The adage “if you don’t use it—you lose it” is appropriate in many situations. At QPT we believe that our exercise prescriptions play as important a role as a medication prescription. Our expectation is that patients understand they play an active role in their own rehabilitation process and should comply to instructions from their therapy provider.

Equipment We utilize state-of-the-art therapy equipment to reduce pain and restore function. From our excercise pool to multiple cardio machines, we can meet the needs of virtually any therapy process.
The foundation behind our treatment are therapeutic exercise techniques in all their various forms. We utilize both traditional (Oxford, DeLorme etc) to conventional (isometric, isotonic, isokinetic, isodynamic, isoinertial etc) to the most contemporary approaches such as; hybrid training, functional training, core stabilization, perturbation training and power systems training. We do this using state of the art Cybex equipment combined with many other types of apparatus including thera-bands, medicine balls, trampolines and physio-balls etc. We are committed to training “movement patterns as opposed to individual muscles”. At QPT we recognize that movement is a synergistic event involving the coordinated contribution of many muscle groups to produce a smooth, balanced and precise muscle action. Our staff will guide each patient through every step of the rehabilitation process from the time you begin, to the time you discharge from our care. Procedures Your physical recovery and improvement is important to us. That's why we employ a wide-range of procedures and techniques to best suit your needs.
QPT centers are outpatient facilities that work with whichever health care system, hospital or medical office a patient might originate from. We work closely with your medical referral source to ensure a seamless transition from injury to recovery. All physical therapy services performed in Michigan require a physician prescription. When you call in to schedule an appointment, our courteous receptionist will promptly coordinate a convenient time for you to come in. During the evaluation your therapist will review with you the various goals and objectives, and then devise a safe and effective treatment plan that is consistent with your doctor's orders and your particular needs. At our facility you will interact with a team of providers-all specially chosen as experts in their field including physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, kinesiologists, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists and sports medicine students. We are a teaching facility and clinical rotation site for the University of Michigan Sport Medicine Program, a clinical observation site for Eastern Michigan University Sports Medicine Program and rotation/observation site for Washtenaw Community College PTA Program, Western Michigan University Sports Medicine and Wayne State Physical Therapy Programs.
